Team AAI is a professional racing team based in Taiwan and gradually expanding to Asia, Europe, the United States and other places. It has a very high reputation and influence in the racing world in East Asia. Since its establishment in 1990, Team AAI has been actively participating in and challenging overseas competitions, including Japan, Macau, Thailand, Malaysia, China and other places. For Team AAI, challenge is a necessity, breakthrough is a responsibility, and transcendence is Team AAI's persistent attitude. As we head into 2015, Team AAI's members already include people from Taiwan, Japan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, China, Thailand, South Korea, Europe and other countries. 1990-2010
The AAI team was established in 1988. Since its first participation in the Macau Touring Car Race in 1989, it has continued to participate in various domestic and foreign events over the years, including Japan, the Southeast Asian Touring Car Tour (SEATCC), the Macau Grand Prix, and the Zhuhai Touring Car Race in China. , various competitions organized by domestic automobile associations, and the Japanese Super N1 professional endurance race, etc., have always been the team’s unremitting goals. Although domestic motorsports has not developed as vigorously as abroad, the AAI team's years of experience in competition, as well as its professional technical team, overall strength and performance, can be said to be in a leading position among domestic teams, even if Compared with many foreign professional teams, it is worthy of comparison, and the number of medals it has won is countless, including using Honda Civic to win the Taiwan team championship, best driver, and best venue for three consecutive years from 1994 to 1996. Due to its outstanding performance in international events, the AAI team has also been recognized by the Japanese professional racing community and recognized as the number one professional racing team in Taiwan. It has been hailed as the strongest racing team in Taiwan by domestic and foreign media. In 1999, with the recognition and support of Toyota Japan, it became the only factory racing team in Taiwan, and participated in Super Touring Car events throughout Southeast Asia with two Toyota Chaser Japanese championship factory cars. In 2001, under the premise of new organization and professionalism, and with the full support of Japan's TRD, the team once again used two Toyota Altezzas to participate in the Asian Touring Car Tour Challenge Division 1 event as a factory team. In 2002, the team was recognized by Ford Motor Company and participated in the domestic TTCC Taiwan Touring Car Championship as the first factory team in the country. 2013
Participated in the 2013 Macau Grand Prix Macau, using 2 BMW-Z4-GT3s. Participated in the 2013 Asian Lemans endurance race. The series includes Japan, South Korea, China, Malaysia and other Asian countries. In the third round of China Station, two cars were used to officially participate and won second place; in the fourth round of Sepang He finished second in the station and achieved annual commendation and third place in the series.
2014
Actively participating in GT events, the driver line-up includes original drivers JUN-SAN Chen (Taiwan), Chen Hancheng (Taiwan) and drivers who signed last year, Takeshi Tsuchiya (Japan), Tatsuya Tanigawa (Japan), Ryohei Sakaguchi (Japan) and Ollie Millroy (UK). Participated in the 2014 Malaysian Super Series using two BMW-Z4-GT3s and won first and second place. Participated in the 2014 SuperCar Racing Series, finishing second and third in round five, and first and second in round six, using an AMG Mercedes SLS-GT3 and a Nismo GTR GT3. In the 2014 Macau Grand Prix Macau, two BMW-Z4 GT3s and two AMG Mercedes SLS-GT3s were arranged to participate in the race, and they achieved the fifth, seventh, fourteenth and sixteenth places in the fierce competition. Participating in the 2014 Asian Lemans Endurance Series, it took first to third place in the first and second rounds, second and third place in the third round, and second and third place in the fourth round in Sepang, Malaysia, and won both the annual team and annual driver championships, becoming the first GT team in Taiwanese history to have a ticket to the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
2015
Participated in the Super Car Racing Japan series, and took first, second and third place in Round 1 and Round 2 at Fuji Speedway.
Participating in the French 24 Hours Le Mans, one of the world's three major events, the AAI team sent a total of two racing cars, the No. 67 Porsche 997 RSR GT3 and the No. 68 Porsche 991 RSR GT3. The drivers of the No. 67 car are AAI team leader Chen Junshan, Alex Kapadia from the UK and Xavier Maassen from the Netherlands, and the No. 68 car is driven by AAI team's rising star Morris and drivers Gilles Vannelet and Mike Parisy from France. In the end, the No. 68 car completed 320 laps and won the sixth place in the GTE AM group (35th overall), and the No. 67 car completed 316 laps and won the eighth place in the GTE AM group (37th overall). Both cars finished the race smoothly.
In the 2015 Asian Lemans Endurance Series, in addition to two BMW Z4 GT3 cars participating in the GT category, two specially built ADESS 03 cars also participated in the LMP3 category for the first time. Japanese drivers Nobuki Taniguchi, Daiki Yoshimoto, Masataka Yanagida, Shinya Hosokawa and other famous drivers were invited to join Team AAI and Taiwanese racing to a new level. 2016
Participated in the Asian Le Mans Sprint Cup event and achieved second place in the LMP3 category at the first race in Sepang. It was the second time to go to Le Mans, France to participate in the 84th 24 Hours Le Mans. In this event, the AAI team cooperated with Corvette Racing and used Corvette C7 to compete. Corvette Racing also sent Johnny O' Connell, who has won four Le Mans championships. Racing for the AAI team, the other two drivers were Mark Patterson from the United States and Oliver Bryant from the United Kingdom. During the final, due to poor track conditions, the vehicle ran off the track and the car was damaged.
